Nishinomiya Noh Theatre is located on the land of "Naruo" in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, which appears in the Noh song "Takasago". In a modern concrete building completed in 2017, there is Noh stage made of cypress. Not only can you watch Noh performance from your seat, but you can also go onto Noh stage wearing Japanese white socks and experience several kinds of things.
You can learn Noh by watching how to wear the official set of costume with the commentary on the costumes and props. Normally, the dressing of the costume is not made public, so it will be a very valuable opportunity.
※You can wear Noh costume with the extra charge.
Noh musical instruments are flute(fue), small drum(kotsuzumi), large drum(otsuzumi), and taiko drum(taiko). You can not only listen to the music, , but also play them yourself. The musicians of each instrument teach you in detail from the manner to how to make sounds. Beginners can enjoy that.
Hakushiruka Classics, run by Tatsuuma Honke Sake Brewery Co., Ltd., a sake brewing company located in Nishinomiya-Go, offers a variety of Japanese dishes, including local sake and lees (a material produced by sake brewery) hotpot. Enjoy three carefully selected types of local sake with your meal.
Afterwards, you will see and learn about the sake brewing process along with tools at Hakushika Memorial Museum of Sake. A stone road used to transport water barrels filled with Miyamizu still remains there. These would lead you to the deep understanding of sake brewing in the 19th century (Meiji period).
